The questions are a mix of academia and pop culture, old and new.

The music is chosen to accompany the questions, or provide a hint to an answer.

Each team is allowed 1-5 members to compete for the prizes.

(There is no entry fee & prizes vary at each location).

HISTORY:

"Pop Quiz Team Trivia" started in 1996, and has been steadily growing. It all began with an idea that native Bostonian, Mike O’Neill; (MCO Productions) had to combine a traditional English pub quiz with an American game show. The format he developed is original and designed to entertain and keep the competition tight for the duration of the two hour game.

Over the years, 8000 questions have been found, researched, tested, tweaked and entered into his trivia database. They come from his library, the internet, and other media outlets.

THE WEST COAST EXPANSION:

During a visit back home to Boston, Dave Robinson, (Dreambuilders Multi-Media) was urged by a group of friends to join them for a night of “Pop Quiz Team Trivia” at one of the local pubs. Mike O’Neill was hosting the game as usual. Dave was immediately hooked. As a longtime Trivia Host and DJ, himself, Dave realized the appeal and potential the format of Mike’s game had for all audiences. He approached Mike with a deal that would allow him (Dave) to bring the game to the west coast where he resided.

A deal between Mike and Dave was struck. Since that day, “Pop Quiz Team Trivia” has realized rapid and continuous growth on the west coast. (Los Angeles Sites)
