TESTIMONIALS

Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles

March 28, 2008

Dear David,

On behalf of those who attended our JFS Young Leaders Trivia Night…,

I want to thank you for providing us with a thought provoking and most enjoyable evening.  We received feedback, and everyone seemed to have a good time.

We view these…opportunities as a way to educate our audience in a fun and memorable way.

…I am grateful for the interest you took in what we wanted to do. You know your stuff! Besides conducting a great Trivia game, it was impressive to see how you integrated JFS and questions about JFS into what you did.

Sincerely,

Karen S.

Dir. Of Annual Resource Development

Pop Quiz Team Trivia”…

Team Trivia is designed to draw big crowds to a bar/restaurant on a
designated night of the week. Through trivia, music, and the thrill of
competition, we turn new and occasional customers into regulars at your
bar on the designated night.  It’s the ideal vehicle for transforming a slow
night of the week into one of your busiest.

How it works…

The quiz master/disc jockey uses a complete DJ sound system. All we

need is a table in the corner and an outlet. We will pass out the game

materials (answer sheets, score sheets, pens) and explain the rules.

When a question is asked, the trivia teams (1-5 people) have until the

end of the song played to submit an answer sheet to the scorekeeper.

Often songs will correlate to the question, or the answer. When the

sheets are in, the host announces the correct answer, a murmur goes

through the crowd, and we move onto the next question.

The game consists of twenty questions, broken into four rounds,

with four score updates. The questions are in categories such as

geography, science, entertainment, history, movies, music, sports, etc.

Teams must bid points on their answers after the question has been

read. The teams with the most points at the end of the game win

the prizes. The level of competition is intense, and keeps people coming

            back for more.

The business establishment is responsible for providing the prizes.

            We recommend $30-50 for 1st, $20-25 for 2nd, and t-shirts or $10 for 3rd.

The prizes can be in the form of cash or gift certificates for your location.

Generally, all the prize money is used to settle the tab at the end of the

            game.

Getting started…

It helps greatly to promote the start date with flyers/table tents a

few weeks in advance.  The crowd is developed gradually. Unless

there is advertising, we rely on flyers/table tents and word of

mouth to build a following. We will provide the flyers and give

the participants something to talk about. You should see business

double within eight weeks, the introductory period.
